About the project

The project originated from a simple line of inquiry. What if Gentle Monster interpreted the idea of a knight within a contemporary context. If armour once defined protection, identity, and presence, what would its modern equivalent be. This led to the positioning of sunglasses as a reinterpretation of that function, acting as a form of visual armour in today’s world.

This premise informed both the product and the surrounding narrative. The sunglasses were designed alongside a broader campaign that explores this idea across multiple expressions. The teaser introduces the world through suggestion, creating anticipation without resolution. The trailer shifts focus toward the product, revealing its form and presence through motion. Campaign assets extend this narrative further, depicting a knight situated within a modern environment, reinforcing the relationship between past symbolism and present identity.

Together, these elements construct a cohesive system where the product is not isolated, but embedded within a larger conceptual framework that bridges mythology and contemporary fashion.
